The Bread Guy is a family owned artisanal bakery specializing in sourdough breads. They provide homemade, wholesome, healthy, organic bread to our customers. Each of the breads is handcrafted and produced with only the finest ingredients, namely unbleached, stone ground, GMO free flour. Their vision is to ensure customers do not compromise on their health and their time by providing an ever-increasing portfolio of high quality, nutritious, speciality products which are conveniently available so as to maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
Founder, Mário de Matos, is a Mechanical Engineer who worked in the Motor Industry for 18 years before moving into warehousing. In his spare time, while researching and building a woodfired pizza oven, he became obsessed with sourdough. His family sent him on a sourdough bread-making course and The Bread Guy idea was born! He felt that there was a market for a novel bakery, which focused on delicious and healthy bread fermented for 24 hours the way grannies made it all around the world. He implemented all his career experience to develop a bread production process that focuses on quality and efficiency, implementing statistical process-control principles. In November of 2018, he established The Bread Guy and dedicated himself to providing quality artisanal bread to his community.
