I am a ‘foodie’ at heart and have had a passion for good food since my late teens as a hotel management trainee, when Michael Olivier gave me secret cooking lessons on Thursday afternoons in the kitchen at Lanzerac, in Stellenbosch. I still have the funny little cookery book I put together at the time and often refer to it for some inspiration!
Our out of the box ideas aim to create a unique culinary experience for all to enjoy. We have a passion for food and beautiful things and are always on the lookout for the best farm fresh produce; both free range and organic. We are dedicated to supporting local producers and nurturing artisanal and sustainable methods.
I am also a partner in Cotton & Canvas which offers an exciting range of affordable cotton and canvas products to enhance the lifestyles of our customers – decorating their in-door and out-door living spaces as well as creating an exciting range of clothing and sensational co-ordinated accessories.
I've always been an adventurous foodie at heart. I remember as a teen I'd be on the look out for new, interesting ingredients to try, which I would cook at home for the family.
This sparked a joy in me and instilled a love of cooking which encouraged me to leave my corporate job and pursue a career as a Chef.
My passion is now my career and I feel like this is where I was meant to be.
